Lady Gaga Sales May Burst Amazon's Cloud

Lady Gaga's album Born This Way is projected to have sold one million copies in the US in the first week of sales based on Amazon's sales of 330,000 copies on Monday, May 23, the first day of release. With the overwhelming response to the website's special 99-cent price for Gaga's album, the heavy traffic crashed the servers and the technological snafu put sales temporarily on hold. The 99-cent deal resumed May 24 and was was expected to generate another 150,000 in sales. The volume of Gaga album sales from the deep discount was intended to get a jump on rival iTunes' yet-to-be launched cloud drive. On Tuesday, May 31, Billboard chart positions will determine if Lady Gaga meets or beats Taylor Swift's record for selling one million copies of Speak Now in the first week of release - and if Amazon's Cloud Drive benefited from the sales surge. Lady Gaga Covers Rolling Stone

Lady Gaga, 25, has landed her third Rolling Stone cover in just over two years. However, the new cover by photographer Ryan McGinley is quite a contrast to Gaga's previous ones, where she wore nothing else but bubbles or a machine gun bra.

Lady Gaga Teases 'The Edge Of Glory' Release on Monday

As she counts down the days until the May 23 release of her new album, Lady Gaga is on The Edge of Glory. She confirmed that she is set to drop the new song, the third track off of Born This Way, on Monday afternoon. She also made the announcement on her Twitter account on Sunday morning. Fans are finally getting to hear the track that Gaga teased them with in January, when she released a few lyrics to the song. Gaga is gearing up for the release of her album, which drops in three weeks. Just last week, she premiered the video for her single Judas, which co-director Laurieann Gibson says perfectly sums up her and Gaga's artistic vision.

Lady Gaga Says Her Judas Video Isn't An Attack On Religion

While Lady Gaga's Judas video leaked on Thursday afternoon (May 5), the clip got its official premiere on E! later that night. As is expected with anything Gaga does, the video will have people talking, the video is not meant to cause controversy. Gaga sat down with E! News to chat about the funky, pop-culture-influenced revolving around a love triangle between Mary Magdalene (Gaga), Judas (Norman Reedus) and Jesus (Rick Gonzalez). Fashion, longing and betrayal rule in the video, directed by Lady Gaga and her creative director, Laurieann Gibson. (The version that appeared on E! was billed as "uncut," but it didn't differ from the leaked version.)

Lady Gaga Releases Country 'Born This Way'

Only weeks after Lady Gaga gave fans a country version of Born This Way, which received over one million YouTube views in its first few days, Gaga has now officially release the revamped country track on iTunes. Produced by Lady Gaga and Fernando Garibay, the country version of Born This Way was recently recorded during the Monster Ball Tour and features new Lady Gaga vocals and added guitar and harmonica. The original version of Born This Way became the fastest song in history to reach sales of one million copies sold and charted six consecutive weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 after Gaga debuted the track on February 11. The official country version of Born This Way comes over a month ahead of the album release of Born This Way on May 23, which Gaga will follow up with an appearance at the Good Morning America Summer Concert Series on May 27, 2011.

Lady Gaga Kicks Adam Lambert Out of Her B-Day Bash

Adam Lambert, 29, wasn't even invited to Lady Gaga's surprise twenty-fifth birthday party Sunday night at L.A.'s La Cita Mexican restaurant, but attended as a guest of the Scissor Sisters, who have been opening for Gaga on tour, Perez Hilton told the Morning Dish radio program Thursday. Lambert began some intense fist-pumping and kept beating on the walls until he'd actually punched a hole in the building's low ceiling, Hilton said. According to eyewitness, he acted like an animal. He kept jumping up on the tables and chairs and screaming. When they brought the cake out he tried to smear it in Gaga's face and put a doll from the cake in her mouth! Eventually Gaga asked her security to kick him out, added the witness.
